Tatum Arboleda '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play softball at the highest level possible, while gaining the education needed to pursue a career as a criminal or forensic psychologist. I have been playing ball since I was 6 years old, and have always been a competitor. I pride myself on my dedication to the programs I am involved with. While many athletes my age move from team to team to find the fit that makes them happy, I have maintained playing at the top level, and earning every roster spot, position, inning and at bat I am given. I have maintained my place on the starting roster of one of the top organizations in the country with the Carolina Elite (Genovese) for 6 years of my almost 9 total playing. I can also say, there are not many girls my age that can say they earned a 4A state title at the age of 12, and a second appearance as a freshman pitcher, all while being honored with All Region and All-State honors all three years.

  I promise, if given a chance, there will not be a more dedicated, harder working athlete on the field. I believe in earning everything, my mother always says there is no such thing as "owed" or "deserved", only earned and I plan to show I can earn a spot on a college roster. I strive to not just play on the field, but lead my team. My coaches always tell me I am full of grit and that I am a "gamer" and I understand the game very well, not just for my age, but as an athlete. I know there are a lot of good athletes out there, but I want to be known for not only being a good athlete, but a good person. I want to be the kind of athlete other girls look up to and want to be like, for skill and character both on and off the field.
