Marissa Iannone '21 Recruiting Profile

There are two goals I have set for myself for my near future.  Goal one is to excel academically so I may pursue my dream of being a medical professional.  Goal two is to continue playing softball throughout my college years and enjoy the sport to its fullest.  I am a very competitive person who loves a challenge and is always looking for a way to better myself in and out of softball. 

I enjoy being part of a structured team and leading by example.  Not only do I enjoy playing softball, but I also enjoy being part of a team and having a coach who pushes me to new levels. 

My defensive skills in the outfield, speed and hustle are a few of my greatest assets.  I learned to bat lefty several years ago and have become a solid slapper.  I love the challenge of stealing bases and catching a flyball in which no one thinks I had a chance at catching.
