Olivia Waite '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing softball at the age of twelve, I wasn't sure what softball meant to me at this time, but after my first year I fell in love with it.  My dream now is to play softball at the next level and continue my education.

I've grown up as a military kid moving every three years never having the chance to develop stability with team mates or coaches.  I've learned valuable lessons from this to include: communication, how to be apart of a new team, and having an open mind. 

I've had to over come many obstacles the last four years of high school.  My freshman year on JV was cancelled due to COVID.  During my sophomore, junior, and senior years  I have started all OF positions, 3rd base, 1st base, and shortstop under a new head coach every year.  I've overcome  COVID and the constant changing in head coaches by dedicating myself to the team and supporting all the coaches.
