Hi coaches, my name is Bryanna Coffman. I go to Green Hill High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and I graduate in 2022. In college I plan on going down the Pre-Veterinary or Business path in college. I am a 17 year old outfielder and slapper for the Lady Hawks at my high school. I started playing softball when I was 5 years old and now I play varsity for my school. When I went into middle school I was still playing travel ball, but when I tried out for my middle school team I didn’t make it. That year I decided that I was gonna follow my family's footsteps and run track. I ran track for 5 years but in my 7th grade year I quit softball altogether. Running track was fun and it changed my life. On the hard days it helped me be ok when I didn’t have softball and when I missed it. Towards the middle of my freshman year there were rumors that a new high school was going to be built and that my class, the friends I had grown up with, was going to be split in half and I was going to have to go to the new school. When I found this out I was in denial and said I wasn’t going to go because I wanted to stay with my friends. Then covid hit and my sophomore track season was canceled. My junior year came around and the school was done being built and I had to go. I told myself new school new me and I was going to try out for softball at this new school. If I didn’t make the team I was gonna give up on softball and not give it another thought, but I made the team. When I made the team I didn’t know what to expect but last season was one of the biggest blessings in my life. My team, my coaches, my friends, and family all made me realize why I love this sport and how much I truly missed it. The change in going to this new school helped me find my true self and my purpose in life. Now here I am at the start of my senior year and I don’t want to let go of this amazing sport yet. In my first semester of my senior year I finished out with all A’s and B’s and now in the start of my second semester I have all A’s currently. My ACT score is a 20 and I know that isn’t a good score but I don’t think that shows who I am or what I am going to bring to the table at a college. I look forward to talking/hearing from you coaches!
