My name is Mia Ruiz and I am a 5’10 catcher/corner from Buda, Texas. I graduate from Johnson High School in 2026 and have been the starting first baseman on their varsity softball team as a freshman. Training wise I weight train and attend speed and agility weekly with the E5 Sports Academy and when time permits I am able to travel to Corona, California and train with Marty Tyson. I consider softball to be the biggest influence in my life and am actively looking for a four year university to call home. Hardworking, passionate and always a team player are a few characteristics I carry. I am looking forward to college and am very willing to travel for school. I have learned how to balance the classroom and the sport of softball in the 12 years I have been playing. Once I am at a university, I plan on studying business and continuing my education with a graduate degree in a field of my choosing. In 2023 I was selected to compete in the All American Games in Colorado and have been selected both in 2023 and this year for the Alliance Top 60 Games for the class of 2026. I have also been selected to represent Region 5 in USA Softball’s High Performance Program National Selection Event.
