Madeline Martinez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madeline (Maddy ) Martinez, I am an uncommitted Class of 2022 Student Athlete who is definitely interested in playing softball at the next level. I am a hard working student athlete both on and off of the field.  I currently have a 3.86 GPA and I am a part of the Engineering Magnet program at my school, Captain John L. Chapin High School in El Paso, Texas.  On the field I will be a fourth year returning letterman and starter. I am looking forward to helping my team accomplish our goal of advancing to the finals of our state playoffs. I am extremely coachable, a hard worker, competitive, love winning and most importantly always a team player. I will do whatever is necessary to help my team get the job done. I mostly play infield, 2nd, 3rd, and SS, but I also love playing outfield. If you want to know where I play, I'll gladly say wherever you need me to play.   I consider myself to be a strong utility player as I can play every position well, except pitcher, and catcher. I believe I have a strong IQ for the game both defensively and offensively.  I have acquired several accolades through out my high school years. Freshman year 1-5A First Team All District Outfielder,  Junior Year 1-5A First Team All District 3rd Baseman, 1-5A Co-Defensive Player of the Year, 2021 El Paso Times First Team All City Team.  Along with Academic All District Teams in every season. I also played varsity basketball for three years for my school. This year only focusing on softball, and getting ready for my senior year.  I look forward to playing softball and continuing to work hard at the next level. I truly believe that I would bring a high level of competition and positive energy  to the game and would be an added plus to any team that would be interested in a student athlete  who loves the game of softball.
