Taylor Wilson '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach,

Thank you for your time.  My name is Taylor Wilson, I am a 2020 player. My primary position is catcher but I also shine on the corners as well. Coach I've been playing softball since I was 6 years old. My mom initially put me in softball because she thought it would help me socially and just learn some important leadership skills through a sport.  Softball has been and is so much more to me now. This is my game Coach, I play because I love the game, I play because softball has taught me skills that I'm able to utilize in other parts of my life from chores to academics . I  watch film ,games, practice and talk with my friends on my own. It is my goal to play softball on a collegiate level. I don't just want to play but I want to continue to be the difference maker.  Just saying I enjoy leading from behind the plate is an understatement. I know my character, work ethic  competitive drive is what separates me from other recruits.  Playing on the collegiate level takes a commitment outside of just showing up to practice. I take that commitment serious that why I excel academically, practice on my own, attend private lessons, conscious of what I eat and I keep friends around me that are like minded and serious about their future after high school.
