I am an incoming 9th grader and I’ve been playing softball since I was 8 years old. Softball has taught me to set goals and work hard to achieve those goals. I love the speed, pace, camaraderie and mental aspect of the game. Anybody can be taught how to throw a ball, but it takes a true player to understand the game. My primary position is catcher and I love everything about the position! When I’m not catching, I play 3rd base, outfield, and I even pitched for my junior high team.
My lifelong dream has been to become a veterinarian. I dream of becoming a veterinarian because I love animals and I want to heal them in any way I can. I own a petsitting business and love caring for animals of all kinds. Softball has helped learn how to face challenges, set goals, and work hard to achieve those goals. I know that playing softball will help me to achieve this goal as well.
