Personal Statement

• Hi, I am Shelby. I started my softball career at the age of 14. I watched my best friend play and fell in love with the sport that has over come my life. Playing college softball has been a dream of mine since I started playing and watching  collegiate games. I have learned that I play sports as a release from daily life and is one of the main reason I am so successful. I have prided myself on being an athlete but also maintaining a high grade point average. I truly believe that a team is the best thing to have on your side, not only on the field but off as well. My team has become some of best friends and I hope to maintain that tradition in my college career. My team has told me that I make them excited for games days, and that I am a great leader when they have a question. I believe in hard work, and the idea that you play how you practice, and that there is always something new to learn.
