Since at a young age, I was always interested in sports. But one day as we were driving by the softball fields a softball game caught my attention. I knew at that moment I wanted to try it out. And sure enough, the moment I stepped foot on the field, I fell in love with the sport. From that day forward, softball has been my life.
I was placed in the catcher position on my first season at the age of 8yrs old and that has been my main position ever since. As time passed by, I knew I wanted to not only play softball in the little league but also in high school and even at the collegiate level. I set my mind to make it to varsity my freshman year and in order to accomplish my goal, I began getting training sessions for catching and conditioning when I was in middle school. Not only did I make it to varsity my freshman year, I also got the starting catching position. My training has not only helped me get to varsity, but it has mainly helped me improve to be a better player for my team.
My love for the game has pushed me to not only do good on the field but also off the field. Although I sometimes struggle academically due to my dyslexia, I do not allow that to stop me from doing good in school. Softball is my #1 motivation. I am a team player, I like to motivate my teammates to be the best I know they can be. I have been told by coaches that I am a very coachable player. I am always eager to learn and welcome any criticism that helps me improve my game.
My goal and dream are to continue playing at the collegiate level after I graduate from high school. I would like to become a softball coach and share my love of softball with future generations.
