Natalie Nicol '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Natalie Nicol, an outfielder from Latexo High School graduating in 2024. When you ask a player how long they have been playing, the typical response is that they have been playing since they could pick up the ball; however, that is not the case here. I've only been able to love this sport since I was twelve years old starting when I first urged my dad to buy me a brand new glove for the upcoming junior high softball team. Back then, it was a wonder if I could even catch a ball, let alone hit one. This being said, I have had to do a lot of catching up to make it to the point I have today. I know I may not be the tallest, fastest, or strongest girl on the field, but I leave more heart and commitment on the dirt than anyone else. I am willing to do what it takes to separate myself from the rest with my competitive spirit and my positive attitude. Not only am I competitive on the field, but in the classroom as well. I am at the top of my class and I compete in a multitude of different UIL academic events including informative extemporaneous speaking, One-Act play, and mathematics, of which my high school has won the past ten Texas state championships.
