Personal Statement
I began playing softball at 4 years old and fell in love with the game. Through the years, softball has taught me so many life lessons. As a pitcher, I have not only learned how to be a good leader, but also how to be responsible and manage my time with academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. I have learned that the decisions that we make every day do not only have an affect on how we improve as a person and athlete, but can also affect others in a positive or negative way. This has taught me self-discipline and the importance of making good choices. I handle myself well under stressful/pressure situations and do not get rattled easily.
I have worked very hard to be the best I can be, and continue to strive to improve. My goal is to one day play softball at a collegiate level as I pursue my degree and career aspirations in the healthcare field.
