Hi Coaches,
My name is Adiana Plata, I am going into my senior year at John Paul Stevens High School in San Antonio TX. I have been playing softball since 8U, and T-Ball since I was 3. Even after HOT summers, cold winters and raining seasons, I continue to play softball because it's what I love!
Softball has taught me major key factors that I know will benefit as an adult:
Keep Learning- No matter how old I am, there is always something new for me to learn.
Stay Positive!!!!- Staying positive keeps you motivated and keeps your softball sisters motivated.
Accept Accountability-If I make an error, I will call myself out and shake it off. Pretending like it never happened does not turn me into a better player.
I am a coachable player, I work hard and push myself to be a better player. I motivate my teammates and push them to not give up and be the best they can be. I dream big and I put in the work to make my dreams come true.
I know softball has molded me into the person I am today and will morph me into the adult I want to be. My dream has always been to help people and to become a nurse. Softball has taught me how to work under pressure, and how to work as a team. I will always understand the saying that “There is no I in team” but I’m hoping that this ”I” can be a part of yours.
