Sloane Kocian '27 Recruiting Profile

I am all heart with my faith and family. I am very athletic and involved with school volleyball, basketball, track, and softball while staying on course academically and making high honors. Of all the sports, softball is my #1. I started playing at eight and fell in love with it when I joined a select team at 10. I was the youngest on the team and didn't get much playtime; however, that did not stop me from learning all I could, from running bases, working bases, backing up bases, hitting techniques, and being a great teammate and player. While I only played select for two years, I was able to watch the more experienced players and realized that there's such an art to the game. I have continued to play on our school softball team along with Little League. This season in Juniors will be the last year I am eligible to play, and I will continue my love for softball by joining a nationals select team in the fall. I am looking forward to all I can learn and experience to prepare me for the college level. I am competitive and full of hustle. I am a go-getter, very coachable, and I will do what it takes to reach my goals. I will show my family that I can achieve my college softball-playing dream!
