Hi, I am Alania Grundy from Loa, Utah, and play for a team named Victory in Sevier County Utah. I am a dedicated softball player. I spend about 10 hours a week practicing and have to travel an hour to practice. I have played softball for 6 years. I enjoy playing shortstop and pitching. My fastest pitch is 50 mph, but my goal this year is to hit 55 mph. I have strong time management skills and get things done on time. I have a 4.0 GPA and love to be with others. I am the oldest of four kids and have lots of close friends. With this I always look for having a good relationship with others. Some hobbies I love to do are crocheting, playing music, running, and being with family. I have played many instruments like the flute, french horn, piano, and guitar. Playing these instruments has taught me how to be more creative and more confident in what I do. I have gone to the Utah Rural Honor Band. Only 100 students from different schools were selected. This was a great experience and taught me how to work hard for what I want. I am also in a group called Hope Squad. The program is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. I was nominated by my classmates for being trustworthy. Being a part of this program has taught me many different skills in life: being kind, understanding when others need it, and how important suicide is.
