Jolene Mitchell '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Jolene Mitchell, although I’m known as JoJo on the field.  My first time on the ball field was when I was eight years old. My passion for the sport quickly grew after that. I started catching when I was eight as well. My secondary positions are shortstop and outfield, but I’m comfortable playing anywhere on the field other than on the mound. I want to be able to give back to the softball world and one way I do that is by coaching and helping younger softball players I tell them the same thing I was told. I was taught from a young age that everything I was told and learned is a tool I can put into my toolbox so when one thing doesn’t work I have more tools to try. This helps with physical and mental slumps on and off the ball field.
