Much like Jennie Finch, I was told by my softball coach at the age of eight that I would never be a pitcher. Although this comment was intended to break my spirit, it did quite the opposite. It lit a spark deep within me. I have also been told that I am someone with a lot of determination and I must agree. The word "defeat" does not set well with me, instead it drives me to find a way to push forward. In all aspects of my life, I am determined to be successful. Whether it be in acadmeics, athletics, or my Christian life, I strive to be the best I can be. This strong characteristic of determination allows me to be a powerful leader but I am also someone who is willing to listen and learn. I also bring to the table strong organizational skills. that I utilize daily to help me achieve my goals. For years now, it has been my desire to attend a four year university and play collegiate softball for a Division 1 university, preferably as a pitcher. It is my plan to major in Biology but my career path is still undeterminded.
