Ashley Hailey '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball for a very long time (ever since I was 3 1/2 years old) and have been playing competitive travel softball since 8 years old.  At an early age, I made All-Stars 5 years straight for Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association even being selected MVP in the 8U State Tournament back in 2010.  Just like most players, I had a chance to play every position in Rec-Ball.  Since playing travel softball, I have played mostly middle infield and some outfield for teams like the Prodigy, the TSI Lady Titans, the West End Sliders, and, currently, the West End Waves.  In High School, I made Varsity my Freshman & Sophomore years starting at Second Base for the Glen Allen Jaguars.  Both seasons (2016 & 2017), I was selected VHSL Conference 11, 5A, Honorable Mention as a Second Baseman.  After season 2018, I was selected First Team All-Region 5B as a Second Baseman.

I consider myself being a very experienced, but humble player.  I cheer for my teammates, am very vocal on the field, have a good attitude and enjoy playing with teammates and for Coach McGuire.  I have made very high grades in school, have been involved in school, have had excellent attendance, and will receive an advance diploma when I graduate in June 2019.  I feel that I'm a player worth investing in and I know my coaches feel the same way.
