Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Abbey Davis, but I am known on the field as Turtle. I am an 9th grader at Wood Grove High School l. I have been in all honors my entire middle school career and high school career. I’m am in Algebra II and Spanish III which are both Junior Classes. I am also in Biology which is a Sophomore class.

I started playing softball when I was 5 and I have always dreamed of playing at the colligate level. I have always been one of the fastest players on my team. Normally leading the team in Batting average and stolen bases. My main position is outfield, but if asked I will play anywhere.

I am a competitive person, always trying my hardest to be the best I can be, and the loudest in the dugout cheering on my teammates. I am great with time management and organization. I want to attend a university where I can continue to push myself in the classroom and on the softball field.

I would like to thank both of my parents. My mom was the one who started my softball career when she signed me up at the age of five. She has always been one of my biggest supporters and the loudest in the stands when I’m up to bat. My dad was a huge part in my softball career because he taught me almost everything I know. From how to throw a ball to teaching me how to hit lefty. Even though he isn’t my coach anymore doesn’t mean he will not take any chance to help me improve. I love them both a lot and are so thankful for them both.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
