For as long as I can remember I have wanted to play college softball. I have worked hard on and off the field to maintain my game and my grades. I would like to be at a school where I am not only challenged on the field but with academics. I would like to continue my education in the area of sports psychology and working with athletes on the mental part of the game.
I am a good candidate for any team because I am coachable and most of all I am a team player. I have received this feedback since I was 8 years old and started this game. I work hard to correct errors in my batting, pitching or fielding when my coaches provide feedback. I support every girl on my team on and off the field. I feel that being a team player is the most important part of this sport because we win as a team and lose as a team.
I am a honest and reliable teammate and peer. I know that you have to work hard to get results and I play like every game like it is my last. My primary position is pitcher however I love this game so much I have worked hard to learn all positions. I am able to play all bases, outfield and this year I was starting catcher for my Varsity High School team, which I hope to work and learn more on the position in years to come. I have watched and studied the game for years now so my knowledge of the game and what to do shows when I play. I consider myself a leader on my teams and work to make the teams better in any way I can. I have also played basketball and participated in cheerleading for my high school. I work just as hard at those sports as I do at my softball game.
I enjoy school and learning about History. I am able to communicate openly with my teachers when I need help to understand assignments and questions. I work just as hard in class to be a leader as I do on the field. I am always willing to help others that are struggling.
