My love for this game has lasted many years. What I feel when I play softball is something that can only be felt when one loves the game. I have played softball since I was about six years old. I have legitimately played every position. I started my career as a first basemen in minor girls’ softball. I so eagerly wanted to pitch, so with much drive and dedication, I taught myself through YouTube and watching college softball. Eventually, I was called to other places on the field: middle infield, outfield, even to catching. With that same drive and dedication, I decided to make myself the best player and teammate I could be anywhere I was put on the field. Not only do I use my drive and dedication for sports, I use it in school. I am a freshman with a 3.9 GPA, ranked 12th in my class. I am also an active member of Beta, Yearbook and FFA. I determined I wanted to try out for the Varsity as a freshman, and with long hours working out and extra reps, I made the team. While there was a big role to fill being on a varsity I adjusted well and have played second, shortstop, right field, center, and pitched. At the start of the season, our ace pitcher got hurt, and even though I was the third of three pitchers on the team. However, I was called in to pitch in an eleven inning game, during the fifth inning. I closed the game and helped secure the win. Not only did I pitch, I also scored the winning run. I think this season, I have showed much leadership, responsibility and athleticism. I think all of these factors would make me a great player on a college team. I believe, with not only my love for softball, but also with my dedication to be the best person, player, and student I can be, I could and would make myself a home at any college that would give me the me the opportunity to play for them.
