Personal Statement

My passion to play ball is something I’ve had since I was little and will continue to have going into college. My highschool softball team became my family and cheering for them became such a fun part of the game. Along with my highschool team, my select team NW Speed is also a group I’ve gained a family in. Besides playing softball, growing up I was huge on soccer as well and started both softball and soccer when I was 4. I began playing select soccer, then soon joined a very competitive level team. When I was going into my freshman year of highschool I was told to choose one or the other and as much as I loved soccer, softball was always the one I was so excited to go to. Something non sport related that I have taken pride in since freshman year is working at different food banks. Working there really helped my love for the community grow and helped me find my love for being a part of others' success. This is a key reason I love doing hands-on projects to help others and why I have been considering becoming a mental health therapist. With this, a business degree seems to be the smartest path to start at and work my way around, but it is still something I’m debating with. Throughout my life I have faced some hardships and also life lessons that have truly built me to be the athlete, student, friend, and teammate I am becoming now.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
