An athletic trainer once told me: "determination is an inside job", and it continues to resonate with me every day - especially when I'm playing softball. I am determined to be my best self on the field. I am determined to be the best teammate and athlete. I am determined to be the softball player who consistently works on her skill and owns her craft. There's always something to strive for and with every practice, grounder, pitch, swing, and ball hit—it’s a learning opportunity to get a percentage better than where I am.

I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old. Since I fielded my first ground ball, I have fallen in love with this sport. My love for softball comes with my desire to compete and play at the highest level in college. My coaches know me for my optimistic personality, dedication, strong softball IQ and my focus to own my position on the field. I am a team leader and try to lead by example by encouraging my teammates – even through the toughest of times on the field or in the dugout. I am very coachable, and I strive to be one of the hardest working recruit/players that you’ll find. I know that playing in college is an opportunity that can change my whole life.

I apply the same level of determination and mindset toward my academics, as I, currently, maintain a 3.8 GPA. I study hard and participate in school activities that keep me grounded and well-informed about current events and issues. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the ball fields. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right match at the highest level of learning and competition possible.
