Going into high school, I found my passion for sports to be greater than I would have ever imagined it to be. I immediately joined the girls swim team, trained my heart out, made it to state, and did it again my sophomore year. But sadly, the swim season only lasts a few short months in the fall. So, I tried to keep myself busy throughout the year by playing basketball in the winter and of course, softball in the spring. Although basketball was never my favorite, I knew it would keep me in enough shape to prove my athleticism and make the softball varsity team. And I did. I've been our starting short stop, batted third in the line up since my freshman, year and have received numerous awards such as the silver slugger award, second team short stop, first team utility, and even two coach-ability awards from basketball and swim. As a senior, I'm now looking to start the next chapter of my softball career in college and am more than ready for any new challenges along the way.
