Tracee Byer '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Tracee. I am 5' 9" my primary position is catcher and I am from Ronceverte, WV.   I have also played third base and left field as secondary positions.  In addition to softball, I also played basketball and volleyball on a high school varsity level.  At league age 11 I earned the starting position as catcher on an 18U softball team.  I am in my third season with the team in the same starting position.   I am currently enrolled as a junior at Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, WV, where I had a cumulative GPA of 3.58 over the years in high school. 

I am looking for a college with a outstanding academic program in the field of forensic science and accounting.  I am looking to pursue a job in the areas of digital forensics and information assurance along with forensic accounting. I am also looking for a college that has an outstanding softball athletic program.  I hope to pursue a program rich in traditions, that will allow me the opportunity to share an equal balance between the classroom and the field.  Ideally I hope to find a college that allows me to hit the ground running with my academics as well as contribute to the team with my athletics. 

Ideally I would like to become part of a program where I could contribute to a softball team family with my athleticism, hard work and dedication.  I am looking to become the first member of my family to obtain a bachelor's degree with plans to obtain my masters immediately after.  Based on this, I have not eliminated any division or location from my search criteria, financial assistance is key in any decision that my family and I will make on where I will attend college. I am open to all areas and am open to explore anything.
