Sophia Leitzen '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Sophia Leitzen. I am self-motivated, and will always work hard to be the best I can possibly be. I want to play for a team that fits both my personality and my play style. I pride myself on how coachable I am and always go the extra mile to be the best possible teammate. I can play anywhere on the field, and I am willing to play and do whatever will help my team succeed. For example, was awarded first team all conference as a freshman at third base and as a sophomore at second base which I was asked to move to and help the team . I play shortstop for my club team and some first base and play other positions when asked. Also, I pitch when needed for both my club and high school team. Working out at SportsadvantEdge four days a week not only shows my work ethic and drive but has improved my vertical by eight inches in a span of five months with help of my trainer, Grant Payne. With that said, a college has to be the right fit for myself whether it be academically or athletically which includes anywhere I attend and will put the same amount of effort and mindset  into my academics as I would with my athletics. Because when my playing days are over, being prepared for what challenges I’m faced with, is the most important knowledge that I will take away from my experiences.
