Hello my name is Kirsten Krause and I am a junior at Grafton High School in Wisconsin. I am a right handed pitcher and short-stop. I love the game of softball for many reasons and have learned so much from my past experiences. I love the idea of a team sport, a family that you have their backs and they have yours. Softball is a mental game, and when I was younger I learned to shut out any negativity and embrace my skill and talent as a player. As I was growing up, I learned to embrace the challenge and opportunity to pitch in very important games, be a captain of my team, and to take challenging courses in school that will push my capabilities to its max and use that drive in my everyday life. I am a very dedicated person, whether I’m in the classroom or on the field. I believe this dedication led me to playing softball and becoming a pitcher. I work hard to help my teammates win and become a better team as a whole. When I step on the mound, I go into the pitch knowing I have worked hard to earn that position, to have the ball in my hand every play and that my teammates and coaches trust me and have my back. I plan to continue my career as a softball player in a competitive division, and go to school to become a physical therapist. Being able to help someone come back from an injury and for others, giving them a chance at a lifestyle they deserve is a job I would love to have. I would be a great addition to your team because, I plan to lead your program to a great future and be the student-athlete that works hard and never quits.
