Personal Statement
My name is Miranda Reich. I’m a junior at River Valley High School in Spring Green, Wisconsin. I began playing softball when I was five years old and I love it more each year. I’ve now been playing competitive travel ball for six years. I have participated in eight different sports so far in my life. Of those I still run cross country and track, and also do gymnastics and various forms of dance, but none of these compare to softball. This sport has taught me so much, on and off the field, such as what true dedication is, to never give up and to always keep a level head. Coaches know me for always giving 100% all the time, and every day I work to be better than I was before, all while keeping a positive attitude.
My goal is to never stop playing softball and to ultimately play ball in college. My plan is to start by attending a good 2 year college where I can continue to get a lot of playing time and further develop in this sport. Since I am paying for college myself, this will also help keep costs down. My goal after that is to transfer to a 4 year college to continue playing and earn my Masters in Athletic Training.
