*** update ***
My name is Katelyn Beagle, nickname “KB”. I just completed my Junior year (Class of 23’) at Wilmot Union High School in Southern Wisconsin. I am a right-handed, utility player. I am currently playing middle infield for GTS, my travel team is based out of Elkhorn, WI. This spring for my high school team, I played outfield and pitched. I earned Southern Lakes All-Conference this spring for my performance offensively and defensively. Where academics are concerned, I hold a 3.5 GPA in honors and AP classes. I am a member of NHS and will be the Senior Class VP next school year. I am looking into majoring in marketing/business or law.
I am a little late in the recruiting process due to my mom's health. She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in June 2021. I put my recruiting on hold while as a family we supported my mom. I am happy to share she is doing well and I am ready to commit!
My GTS Head Coach, Sabrina Kuchta, shared this quote with me to highlight what makes me stand out beyond my athletic ability:
“KB is the true definition of a coachable player. She is the first one there, and the last one to leave. She is constantly putting in the extra work to get better every day. The best quality about KB is she LISTENS! When you tell her to do something, it is done with no questions. She takes advice and adjustments and puts them into her gameplay. She leads her team with energy! When she opens her mouth, the energy is contagious throughout the entire team. This is one kid you want to have on your team.”
And from Mike Gonzalez, Owner GTS, quoted from my “player of the week” honor
“ This kid has bought into the weight room this year and it is definitely showing! Keep working KB. In two games last week, KB was 5 for 7 at the plate with 1 HR, 2 doubles, and 4 RBI”
My cousins both play ball, DI and DII. I know what it takes to excel at the next level and I am excited for the opportunity.
