Personal Statement
Winning has always been important to me, but not what ultimately drives me. What drives me is doing things that I haven’t done, pushing myself to the point where I and others didn’t think possible. Whether that be losing only two matches in two years in Badminton, (both is the state finals), making the Varsity Basketball team as a freshman, or taking all accelerated and AP classes to push myself academically. All of these experiences and achievements, took time, perseverance and a toughness that I pride myself on. I played both my Badminton and Basketball seasons with a Torn Labrum in my left shoulder that required surgery at the end of January 2020.
I have learned over the course of my high school career that my fortune and support have been amazing. I get the best of both worlds, competing not only individually but for my team. I have won a team state championship my sophomore year, and it fuels me every day to get another one, both in badminton and basketball. The end of my high school career is coming soon, I will have lettered 7 times in two sports, contributed to the betterment of my team, and the programs.
My next goal is to continue this journey and play basketball in college, challenging myself both athletically and academically, as my ultimate goal is to become a Physician.
