As a student-athlete, my dreams are to excel in the classroom as well as on the basketball court. My number one focus is to be on the dean’s list every semester and graduate high in my class striving for cum laude. My goals are to provide a sturdy stepping stone aimed at providing me with a bright future through my continued education I will receive and becoming a better person and athlete. My mom has always stressed to me that nothing is giving to you, you have to work for it and earn it and that is my intention. Thus far, I have made the appropriate steps in earning my keeps whether it is my grades or playing time, I put in the work. My aspiration is to become a lawyer assisting in family law. My dream is to be able to advocate for children in need of help and provide support that they are unable to receive due to barriers in their way. I was raised in a blended family where there were times I didn’t always get what I wanted or I didn’t receive the same value of things that the other kids in my household and it was hard to grasp, but I had to think to myself that there are kids in the world today that don’t receive anything not even moral support and that’s when I fell in love with the notion that when I grow up I want to be the one that help those children.
As for what makes me different from any other recruit is simple, I am me. I am the hardest working student athlete in classroom, on the court, on the job and in the community for anyone my age. I show up to conqueror every barrier or obstacle that appears to jump in my way of being successful. Failure is not an option and I don’t give up. I wake up every morning striving to be the best. I’m a fun loving smart individual that is easy to get along with. I’m eager to learn and willing to step outside my comfort zone to achieve success. I am an open-minded young lady and my focus to succeed
