Personal Statement

I am a 5’1 point/shooting guard from Plainville Connecticut. I am beginning my Senior year at Plainville High School. My goal is to be successful academically and athletically. To reach that goal, I believe that you have to work hard in life because nothing comes easy. When it comes down to it, anything is possible with hard work and dedication. When I step out onto the court I feel at home. I’m not afraid to take the initiative to be a leader and communicate with my teammates. As well as being a leader, I try to encourage my teammates on and off the court. I've always been interested in basketball and I plan to play in college at a high competitive level. I am very coachable and learn fast as well as work hard and push myself to become better. I started on the JV team as a freshman and I worked hard and pushed myself, which paid off and led me to play Varsity my freshman year as well. As a sophomore I continued to work hard and that led me to start for Varsity as well as JV. My Junior year I was a Starter for Varsity. Not only did I play the 1 and 2 position, I played the 3 and 4 positions as well. My high school coach was able to take advantage of my speed, reliability and teamwork to get the upper hand when facing adversity.  I look forward to working hard on and off the court to achieve and exceed my goals.
