Samantha Diaspro '26 Recruiting Profile

Although I have tried other sports, I would rather be playing basketball. I love the fast pace and competitive environment. I have been playing since I was 5, but at around 8 years old became rather obsessed with it.

I strive to lead by example, and I have been told I am very coachable. It is important to me to have a strong relationship with my teammates and coaches. I am at my best when the team clicks because I firmly believe it is a team sport. 

Outside of basketball, I dedicate a lot of time to schoolwork. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, where we help with various events. Even though I am involved in school activities, I coach younger AAU girls, practice for my old AAU team, as well as play for my current elite AAU team. Participating in basketball every day of the week is when I am the happiest.

What’s most important to me is finding a college that will not only prepare me academically for the future but one that will also have a great, close-knit basketball program. I have the work ethic to compete at the college level and the dedication to excel academically. My goal is to find the right team where I can help the program as much as they can help me.
