Personal Statement
I am a high academic athlete. My GPA is 3.83 with honor classes. My college goals are to study sports medicine and be an active member on campus and I aspire to play college basketball. I am a coachable player and I take the initiative outside of practice to work on my game, for example I workout mornings before school starts as well as after school and on the weekends.
On the court I am a great communicator on both ends of the court. I protect the rim, rebound, and set a highly effective screen which helps open up my teammates to score or I pick and roll to the hoop. I love defense. I dive for loose balls and I am working on becoming a multi positional defender. I have high basketball IQ and look to make the right play for the team.
I played varsity basketball as an 8th grader on my school team. I also played in the Adidas Gauntlet 16U tournaments during the summer’s of 2021 and 2022 as a starter for Team Saints. I play on both the 16U and 17U teams.
I serve on the Honor Board at The Ethel Walker School. This 2022 school year I will be a Cicerone giving prospective students and their families tours and information about Ethel Walker.
I am looking for a program that will utilize my skills and that would be a fit academically and has a great team culture. I will work hard on and off the court. My teammates and coaches would tell you I love a positive team culture. I would love the opportunity to play at the next level in college.
