Jamie Springstead '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Jamie Springstead. Throughout my life, I have embodied the qualities of leadership and sportsmanship. These attributes were exemplified by my great aunt Velma Springstead, a well-known international athlete. 

I aspire to play basketball at a college with a rigorous academic program. I value my education and I have always challenged myself academically. My favorite subjects are Biology and Math and I hope to go into the medical field for veterinary studies. 

I have been playing both competitive basketball and soccer from a very young age. My coaches would describe me as an extremely versatile and coachable player. Last season, in varsity basketball, I surpassed the all-time points scored in a single season in the school's history and helped take our team to the state championship for the first time in history. My accomplishments so far this season include surpassing 1000 points and I recently became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the school.
