Phoebe Richards '25 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete, my number one priority is ensuring I never give up, no matter the score, nor the quality of the game. My passion for the game and high basketball IQ combines to create maximum effort and game comprehension.

 I am always encouraging my teammates and bringing energy to the court when they cannot. Furthermore, I find new ways to improve all aspects of my game as well as my fitness and endurance to ensure I am the best version of myself.

While basketball is extremely important to me, I take my academics very seriously. I maintain an extremely high GPA with excellent marks in both effort and behaviour as well. I am a year ahead in Mathematics and am also completing two Sciences and high level English, all of which I have achieved A’s for. Additionally, I am taking a Humanities and an Arts subject to make myself a well-rounded student.

What sets me apart from other athletes is my coachability and effort. Many of my past coaches have commended me on my ability to listen and learn from what they are saying. I am always actively trying to improve myself so all and every bit of feedback is taken on and appreciated. Moreover, I make an effort to be the first one down the court no matter the situation. I am always back on defence, and if my teammate is away on a fastbreak, I always follow just in case a rebound is needed. This way I can be the player my coaches and teammates need me to be and can be a true asset to the team.
