Jocelyn Rudd '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jocelyn Rudd and I attend East Carter High School, class of 2028. My love and work ethic for basketball really grew when I started middle school. My confidence grew when I started AAU ball and that’s when I realized I can do anything I put my mind to. I want to always play to my full potential. I am committed to training hard and going the extra mile to improve my game.  Through my experience in playing basketball, I’ve learned how to take criticism and work through difficult tasks and situations to achieve the goals I have set for myself and my team. I truly love having a team I can cheer for and depend on. If you know me, then would know I will always go 100%. I am known for my defense, effort, and hustle. I am a coachable player and have a high basketball IQ. I am a leader on and off the court. I am committed to train and improve as much as I can. I always put my team first and look for the best in others and myself.

My goal is to play at the collegiate level and be the best that I can be. During college, I want to study the medical field to become a Physical Therapist or work in the area of Sports Medicine. I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA my entire academic career. Academic success is highly valued in my family. I plan to maintain my high academic standards as I go forward.
