At the age of four, I fell in love with tennis by random chance. I participated in a small tennis clinic ran by the high school team and quickly moved through the age groups even though I had never held a racket. Tennis came naturally to me. Now, I run that same clinic!
As a tennis player, I play smart. My coaches have always told me that tennis is 80% mental and 30% physical, meaning I always need to play at 110%. I find this true. Thinking on my feet has always been a strong point and I am very capable of thinking my shots and strategies through before the ball is even in play. Physically, I am quick, agile, and strong but most important, I am consistent in my play.
I am a great team player, working hard to increase team moral and support my fellow team members. Tennis is an individual sport with a team attitude. It is incredibly important to support my fellow teammates in their play and to work together as a team to increase our skills and abilities. A team that supports each other bonds and this creates lifelong friendships both on and off the courts.
