Personal Statement
I'm an aspiring Recreational Therapist/Financial Planning and collegiate basketball player. I've been around basketball my whole life watching my older sister Lexi Hughes play club basketball for the 2013 MO Valley Blazers Elite - Jerman out of Kansas City, and her playing in college. I set goals as a freshman to have a 3.7 GPA or higher as a student (accomplished).
My athletic goals in for my freshman year were to start varsity (accomplished by the end of the year), score over 200 points (accomplished), 100 rebounds (accomplished), 50 blocks (not accomplished). I made 3 all tournament teams, All-District, and All-Area my freshman year. I lead the conference in blocked shots. I lead my team in assists playing primarily a wing and post. I was 2nd on the team in scoring. I was 3rd on the team in rebounds and steals.
My sophomore year athletic goals were 400 points (368), 200 rebounds (175), 75 assists (60), 50 steals (36), 50 blocks (39). I wanted to be 1st Team All-Conference (Loading), 1st Team All-District (Accomplished), All-Area (Loading), and make all three All-Tournament teams (Accomplished). scoring I’m 5th in the conference, rebounds I’m 8th, Assists I’m 10th, Steals I’m 19th, Blocks I’m 1st, Top 50 in the STL area in free throw percentage and blocks, and 6th in STL in free throws made.
I'm very competitive and humble. I think of others before I think of myself. I have an entrepreneurial spirit, and always thinking of new ways to accomplish a goal or mission. I'm a caring and considerate individual who loves to cook and watch scary movies.
I would love to learn about your school and the opportunities.
