From growing up playing basketball on a team where I was merely a backup player, to moving states away my freshman year having to take on a leadership role in the team early on, has taught me many things. It not only helped me grow as an athlete but also as a person. This new leadership role taught me how to thrive in challenges and adversity, such as, earning a spot on varsity freshman year despite having to adjust to a new school, make new friends, and keep my academic's a priority.
Basketball has taught me countless skills; communication, understanding, and accountability, on and off the court. Playing at the college level has always been a dream of mine. Playing AAU, school sports, and attending camps over the summers has led me to become a more well-rounded player, by learning more skills every time I touch the court. I aspire to attend a college that challenges myself both academically and athletically. I'm open to look for different schools to find the one that fits me best and offers strong competition.
