My name is Beth Lindenbaum. I am a student-athlete in the class of 2023 at Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. I have been playing basketball for 10 years. My goals are to succeed in my academic studies and obtain a college degree while playing basketball at the collegiate level. I consistently work on my skills and constantly look to improve my game and help my team. I love the game of basketball and will never pass up an opportunity to play the sport, whether it be pick up in the park, organized high school games, or just training in my own time. On the court, I am a versatile player who is an offensive threat and an effective defender on both the inside and the outside. I also have a strong work ethic and resilient mindset.
Basketball has taught me many valuable lessons, including perseverance and a good work ethic. Due to injuries my first two years of high school (ACL and meniscus tears), I missed my freshman and part of my sophomore seasons. I then had to work my way back to full health to be able to play basketball again. My road to recovery taught me to be resilient in the face of hardship and that I needed to work hard to achieve my goal at the time: a full recovery. After I was cleared to play again, I brought the lessons about perseverance and hard work that my injuries taught me to my basketball mentality. My injuries taught me to appreciate the game even more and to truly play every game like it might be my last.
I apply these lessons of character to how I carry myself both on and off the basketball court. I will add to any team a strong work ethic and a love for the game of basketball. I aspire to complete a biomedical/biological engineering degree at a school that will prepare me for either graduate school for biomedical/biological engineering or medical school. I hope to find a college where I can grow and achieve my academic and athletic goals while preparing for life beyond school.
