The sport of basketball was introduced to me in third grade and I didn’t realize that ten years later, I’d still be loving basketball.
Being a starter as a freshman taught me that even though I was the youngest on the team, I could make up for the age difference with determination and commitment. I remember that even during Covid, regardless of the weather, I continued outdoor daily training.
My teammates look to me for leadership and support. The energy that I bring to the court is contagious. My defense is second to none, and I can be counted on to maintain my high rebounding average. My career totals include 501 points and 441 rebounds. Last season, I was awarded First Team All-Mountain Division. I was also just awarded MVP at the 18th Annual 2023 Joe Pepe Memorial Tournament.
I have been complimented for improving team culture with my warm inclusive energy and then feeling that energy on the court as it impacts the game is priceless. I have been complimented on my strength, tenacity, mental toughness, and court awareness. I am a coachable athlete and look to always improve my skill level.
I am a determined person at heart and having the opportunity to combine mental toughness and persistence in the classroom and on the court is a goal. I am on the honor roll, and I hold myself to high academic standards in both my honors classes and my AP classes as I balance my school work and my basketball schedule.
I am a two-sport athlete. As a freshman, I was a starter on both the varsity volleyball team and varsity basketball team. Although I continue volleyball with outstanding stats, basketball is my passion.
I am confident that I would be a welcomed addition to any college basketball team.
