Olivia Payne '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Olivia Payne and I am 16 years old.  I am 5´9¨ and I weigh approximately 135Lbs.

I go to Green High School in Green, Ohio.  I would love to attend a University that will use my speed, quickness, and athleticism, and not only make me a better player but allow me to be a good example of toughness, hard work, and selflessness.

I feel like I can be a strong asset to any college team because I believe that I am a "Victor" not a 'victim'. I have been raised to be just like my mom(and Dad).  I love them both and I look up to her so much because she is such an inspiration to me. 

Two and a half years ago, when I was in 8th grade, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal Breast cancer. Through all the pain, chemo every 3 weeks, and struggling to walk or get around, she has NEVER said, "Why me".  Ever.

She has shown me, my 2 brothers, and the rest of our 2 Large families how to handle what life has given her, to do it the best you can, to put in extra work when no one's watching, have fun with Life and find 'Joy' in everything, and most importantly, Trust that the Lord knows what He's doing.... to make us better, more mature, and Stronger Finishers.

I work very hard and will continue to work hard until I reach my goals. I currently give my coaches, teammates, and teachers my very best. I also do the same in academics and I work hard for the grades that I earn.

I really believe that I will find that Coaching Staff and program that I will love and will be like Home away from home. I just want play the game at a High level. Because I love it and enjoy it so much.

God has given me an incredible gift of being athletic with basketball abilities.  I hope I can take advantage of it at the next level and use the gift he has given me if given the opportunity.  I also want to help bring a National Championship to wherever I get to play!  :)
