My name is Olivia Sprague, I attend Clatskanie High School in Clatskanie, Oregon and am apart of the 2021 graduating class. I started playing basketball and softball at the age of 7. For as long as I can remember my goal has been to play at the collegiate level. I have always tried to play at the highest level possible and I am fully aware of the number of great players out there. What I feel that sets me apart most is my work ethic. I've picked up the label as a gym rat and am known to enjoy challenges that make me better. My desire to the best that I can doesn't only make its appearance in the gym or on the field, but also in the classroom. I've been on honor role both years of high school and have maintained a 4.0 GPA while being placed in AP math.
The highlight of my high school career so far, is winning the Oregon 3A State Championship in 2019 as a sophomore. Not only was this my first championship, but also the schools first girls championship ever. Although we reached our goal for the year, I think the journey was just as important. I loved being able to feel the support and community spirit that was so invested into our success, and that made winning much sweeter. This surreal experience was celebrated and felt by everyone in my small town, and I feel that was one of the biggest honors I could have, being to able to give back to my community.
