Dani Short '19 Recruiting Profile

I would like to play at a top ranked academic institution with an extremely driven basketball program.  I have been an "A+" student in Private Catholic School for 11 years and I am currently a three-year starter on a full four-year academic scholarship at  North Catholic High School.  I am an extremely driven individual and I compete hard both on and off the court.  (Just ask my teachers)  My goal is to play college ball and I am training extra hard in order to get that opportunity.  Historically, I am currently part of one of the top programs in the state of PA. North Catholic took the AA PIAA State Championship my freshman year (2016). It was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life.  We have also made three WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletics League)  final appearances in 2016, 2017, and 2018 with one silver and two gold.   We were PIAA/AA Title semi-finalist in 2018.  Stay tuned.  We will not be denied in 2019.  🙏🏾  This past summer I played AAU with Jamal Woodson and SLAAM 17U.  My number is 24.  Why am I good candidate?  I will Captain one of the top teams in the state across all classes.  I am strong on the post and I will not hesitate to take the ball coast to coast.  I can shoot the 3!  I can block shots minus the fouls.  My character on the court and as a player does not go unnoticed by both coaches and referees.  I am a leader.  History says I’m smart.  I currently sit on a 4.84 with more Honors and AP  courses required for most top ranked colleges.   I compete hard.  I make everyone around me want to win.   My coaches and the institution will be proud to have me as a student athlete and future graduate of your program.  Each and everyone of my teammates will be proud to have known me.  Coach, I  believe you should take the time to come and watch.  Take a moment to get to know me because someday I hope to change something about this world that will positively impact the lives of ALL people everywhere.  Lastly,  I have a shared basketball philosophy:  “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”  (MJ)
