My name is Emily Hocker. I am a 5’ 4” point guard that loves the game of basketball. Last year, as a sophomore, I got to be part of the Varsity team that won their section and league titles. I am not only proud of winning these games, but I am proud of every day, working my hardest at the game and showing what I can do. My AAU team was also very successful this season, going to tournaments such as Washington DC and USJN Wildwood. I am highly motivated in looking to become a better player. Not only do I love playing the game of basketball, but I also love coaching it. I help to coach younger kids and show them how to be a leader and play basketball at many different camps. This has given me a different perspective of the sport. It is a joy to teach these kids what I know!
My goal is to become a pharmacist and play basketball all throughout college. On the court, I plan to be a dynamic player and a positive influence to the team. I want to physically and mentally grow in the sport and strive to be the best I can possibly be. Most importantly, I want to keep my grades as high as possible to show I am a hard working person knowing the way I carry myself reflects not only my team and coaches, but the school of which I attend.
