Personal Statement
For the past 3 years, I have been playing the star role on a young and inexperienced high school varsity team. I believe playing on this team has helped me become a better player. It has made me learn how to play every position by putting me where I have the best chance to score. I am now a stronger competitor in the paint and outside on the perimeter. I have also learned how to take the leadership role since my 8th grade year including how to be an encouraging, vocal leader.
Being a four-sport athlete has taught me how to manage my school work with my practice schedule. To get to where I am today, I've had to sacrifice social activities by putting extra time in the gym instead of being somewhere else. I am dedicated and show this by putting in time all year round to make myself better. I am constantly pushing myself to my full potential. I feel like I am a good fit as a college-athlete because I am coachable, competitive, determined, and a hard worker in school and in sports. I am excited to see where my hard work takes me!
