Personal Statement

Hi my name is Lillie Ross and I just finished my sophomore at Hill City High School in Hill City SD.  I am a 3 sport athlete…I have been on the Varsity Cross County Team since 7th grade!  My 7th and 8th grade year we were runner up and my freshman year we won the state championship!   I have been on the Varsity Basketball team since 8th grade, in 8th grade we made it to state but Covid took that tournament away and last year we made it to the SoDak 16 but lost by 2 to make it to the state tournament! This year we made it to the second round of regions and lost to ST Thomas More. I also started Varsity this year.  I  run 400, 800, 4x8, 4x4, and the medly in track!  In addition to school sports I play AAU basketball in the summer,  the last 2 summers I played for SD North Star/Ambush!  I have been playing basketball since I was 5 and competitively since I was in 3rd grade!  In my spare time I help coach/teach youth basketball, attend young life, and maintain at least a 3.4 in school!
