My freshman year, I played on three teams, freshman, JV, and varsity. As a starter, my JV team went 34-0 for the season. During our national tournament that year, I played 15 games in 5 days where I experienced perseverance and playing through exhaustion and pain pays off in the end. We won the national title for JV and varsity.
I am not the type of person who likes to sit still for too long. I like to get things done instead of waiting until the last minute. I have had a basketball in my hand since I was 5 years old as my older sister had always played. I learned my left-handed skills at the age of 8 when I broke my right wrist, of course, playing basketball. I enjoy the competition of the game and recognize the dedication it requires. I am always looking to improve myself as well as my team. I am a leader and a student of the game. I feel that IQ is an important and underrated aspect of the game. Therefore, I continually strive to make this one of my stronger attributes. I am a committed athlete and student hoping to utilize my skills on a competitive basketball team as well as further my academic career.
