Madelyne Davis '24 Recruiting Profile

I first started playing basketball when I was 6 years old and I have been in love with it ever since. As a point guard and leader on the court, I have a responsibility to lead, help and assist my teammates. I set and call the plays on the court with confidence. I am a team player that encourages my teammates whether they miss or make a shot. I have a strong competitive focus and keep my head up after a bad play. I have strong ball handling skills and a high basketball IQ. I can see the court and I know where and when my teammates will be which contributes to many assists.

I am a very coachable player and a hard worker who trains/works out to get stronger on the court. I practice as much as I can whether it is chilly, hot, or raining. I want to be an example for others while working as hard as I can to reach my highest potential.

In the classroom, I am a great listener and a very engaged student. I put effort into my work and turn it in on time. I prepare for my assessments and keep myself organized with a planner and calendar. I maintain a high GPA and participate in service for the community.

I want to attend a college that is perfect for me in both athletic and academic departments. I want to play at the highest level of basketball as it has been my dream since I was little, and succeed in my choice of major. I am open-minded and I look forward to the opportunities that may lie ahead.
